Crowdnetic, the leading provider of technology and market data solutions to the global crowdfinance marketplace, today releases its quarterly data analysis report on private companies publicly raising for the period ending December 31, 2014. With approximately five quarters of data collected, Crowdnetic’s reports have shown that crowdfinanced securities continue to attract increased investor interest.
From the data captured through CrowdWatch, Crowdnetic’s platform for the discovery and analysis of securities-based crowdfunded offerings, there has been approximately $482.5 million dollars of recorded capital commitments made to this burgeoning asset class since the regulations allowing for general solicitation and general advertising in the offer and sale of private securities under Title II of the JOBS Act came into effect. Since this time, CrowdWatch has aggregated and normalized data from 5,122 offerings. The quarterly reports released by Crowdnetic include snapshots of the industry with insights into the raise activity of offerings by sector, region, security type and capital structure.
“It is apparent that the investing public's confidence in the crowdfinance marketplace continues to grow,” says Luan Cox, CEO and Co-founder of Crowdnetic. “With this year-end report, it is clear to us that 2015 will be another record year for the industry. We are excited and honored to be a part of the growing ecosystem."
According to Crowdnetic’s data, 2014 has proven to be a tremendous year for crowdfinance industry as the number of offerings and investments in this nascent industry has steadily grown. 2015 is poised to continue this growth and, as the SEC has indicated that the JOBS Act Title III regulations will be finalized, is likely to open up these investment opportunities to non-accredited investors. Throughout the course of 2014, what one may have thought was a niche industry has proven itself and secured its role as a viable form of alternative finance.
Crowdnetic’s proprietary data platform, CrowdWatch, and its private offerings content suite on MarketWatch, includes data from thirteen leading real estate, debt and equity crowdfunding platforms. This report is co-sponsored by Springboard Enterprises, Ventureneer, RealPartner and LendZoan.
